Hello! My name is Jessica Phan and I am currently studying a Master of Physiotherapy (final year) at the University of Sydney. I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada where I completed an Honours Bachelor of Science with high distinction from the University of Toronto in 2015. My interests are Science and Maths, which I have previously taught to K-12 students. I aim to help students excel academically while also encouraging them to balance other aspects of life through good time management and commitment. Some of the activities I enjoy doing outside of school and work are playing sports, traveling, baking and spending time with friends and family!
Subjects: K-12, Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
I am a PhD student in the School of Life and Environmental Sciences in the University of Sydney. I have completed B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology. I then completed Masters by Research in Geotechnical Engineering from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). I have around two years of full time teaching experience in the World University of Bangladesh and three years research experience in the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Also I have served as a Science advisor in I-Science project under the Faculty of Education of The University of Sydney. Currently I am working with Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) as an Online physics tutor.
I can easily get synchronized with students, so they like me as a tutor. This makes my job much easier as students like to learn something from a friend rather than a tutor. I also try to make my lectures/sessions simple and funny for students so that they do not get bored.
Usually I prepare interactive lesson plans, so that students can participate in the lectures. To me, it is very helpful to get the maximum attention from students. Moreover, I try to provide real life examples of the topics so that students can easily relate the study contents within the real world.
Subjects: all 7-10 subjects, Mathematics, English, Geography, History, Chemistry, Biology & Physics

Hi! I’m Jerri Wang and I completed my Higher School Certificate at Hornsby Girls High School with an All Rounders by achieving Band 6’s in all my subjects (Adv. English, Adv. Math, Economics, Business Studies and Visual Arts). During school, I’ve always prioritised achieving consistent results but I’ve also valued having a balanced life, especially during the final HSC years, by being active in school as a Prefect, sports, friends and various extracurricular activities. Being a very recent graduate, I can understand the challenges and struggles in school so my goal is to help any students with all the fresh knowledge and materials I have to help you reach your best. My previous experiences in mentoring younger students has also taught me the importance of utilising different learning styles and teaching methods in finding a way that maximises your learning which I aim to bring. However, I strongly believe that achieving academic success can only be done when you enjoy what you do and learn as through having the right support which I hope to provide by offering the best all rounded learning experience I can!
Previously, I had been admitted into a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies Program at UNSW. After gaining the opportunity to a number of internships, I found that my passion did not lie in applying mathematics in a corporate or business setting. My true passion lied in sharing and teaching mathematical concepts to young people and building a good foundation for them so they can do what they love in the future. People usually question why I switched degrees despite attaining such high achievements. However, it is the people that I have taught that truly understand my profound love for teaching.
I am currently ranked first in mathematics as part of the whole cohort. I can teach all levels of mathematics (Years 7-10 Mathematics, General, 2 Unit, Extension 1, Extension 2). I will be able to answer all your questions and I can assure that you will only improve. You can also email me any questions and I will provide a detailed solution for you.
Subjects: All levels of English & Drama
My name is Tom, and I am passionate about all things involving literature. I've been an avid reader my entire life and have always found it rewarding to engage people - whether of my own age or younger than myself - in stimulating conversations about their favourite books and what they find interesting about the processes of reading and writing.
I attended Launceston Church Grammar School in Tasmania as a boarder for four years. During my time there, I often aided the further education of many junior students and peers in their English studies, both in a comprehensive and creative capacity. When I graduated in 2011, I received an ATAR of 97.4, chiefly based on three HSC English subjects that I undertook in Grades 11 and 12.
Over the last six months, it has been my ambition to harness the skills I have as a communicable and learned person in order to help students of all ages to reach their maximum potential in the field of English. I have successfully tutored primary school aged children and students engaged in their HSC studies, working at every step of the way to expand and refine their understanding of the subject of English.
